ABOUT US

Odyssey Festival Orchestra is an orchestra for 18-30 year-olds. Its inaugural concert was in September 2022 at Cadogan Hall.

We present music in a bold, creative atmosphere and to the highest standards. We explore orchestral music in the context of its time. We are building a younger, more philosophically engaged audience for our concerts. We want to inform and provoke as well as to entertain.

We are committed to broadening diversity in classical music and recruit players from many different backgrounds. We provide subsidised tickets mainly to inner-city London state schools*, while our outreach programme provides opportunities for students to work with our young musicians. We are also committed to the development of our players, providing first rate instrumental tutors for our courses as well as the opportunity to perform in London’s top concert venues.

Playing as part of the orchestra is exhilarating. It is also a cultural learning curve, which benefits all our players  - whether they are a professional musician early in their career, a music student, or a talented amateur who does something else entirely during the day.

We currently present three concerts each season either in Cadogan Hall or Queen Elizabeth Hall. We are looking for new players to join us - please sign up for auditions here.
