Odyssey Festival Orchestra has ambitious goals. We present the great works of the orchestral repertoire in a distinctive and imaginative way that attracts new audiences to the concert hall.
We have strong values of diversity and inclusion. We reach out into schools to broaden our mission beyond the concert hall. We keep ticket prices low, making concerts as accessible as possible.
We can only achieve this with the help of our loyal supporters. Ticket sales account for barely 10% of the cost of each concert.
Help us achieve our mission
Orchestra members frequently tell us how much they value Odyssey’s unique mission. No member pays for the experience of playing with the orchestra. Each member who completes a project receives an expense payment of £100.
This sense of fairness is fundamental to our inclusivity and values. But these goals are hard to achieve when each course costs over £600 per member.
We believe in making classical music exciting and accessible for a new generation and have found generous support from individuals, trusts and foundations, and from volunteers who give in kind.
However we want to grow our activities. We have ambitious plans to expand the geographical reach of the orchestra and devise more ambitious collaborative projects. Please help us on our journey. Any donation counts. Repeated donations, such as standing orders are best of all, as they allow us to plan more confidently for the future.
